One of the programs that every student has been waiting for since few years is “Prime Minister HEC Laptop Scheme”. Higher Education Commission HEC has invited sealed bids from bidders with local partners or authorized laptop distributors for procurement of 1,00,000 laptops under Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme Phase III. About two million new citizens need employment every two years, but it is impossible to meet all of them. So, instead of providing physical jobs, it is mandatory to reward such students with laptops so that they can start their online career or become entrepreneurs in the coming days.
Also, bidders should be in relevant business operations in Pakistan for the last three calendar years. Bidders shall authorize the OEM itself or OEM’s distributor/tier-1 partners of the laptop. Bidders must be registered with the Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and the Active Tax Payers List of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
